i'm sunning myself today in the back alley and reading 'death in venice' to prove that just having gay sex alone does not make you a homo. when i hear screams from the window of the crack house across the hall. great and me trapped outside. i continue to read and get colour hoping everything subsides. it doesn't and a guy comes out saying it's completely insane in there, to no one in particular and then looks at me and repeats himself. am i required to respond in this situation?
i'm sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place now. if i go back inside i could get involved in anything that might bubble out into the hall. sit and wait for it to come to me out back. i wait. i need the colour. mexico is mere months away.
all of a sudden a guy comes out side with a big laugh. i keep my head in my book. then he says 'buddy i've got just what you need' and tries to pass me a beer. 'thanks - i don't drink' i says and looks to see if the earth is going to open. lies make the baby jesus cry. he and some other guys sit on the opposite end of the back stoop. yikes.
further reading and sunning on my part. then i hear a lighter going off repeatedly. they are smoking crack right in front of me. thank god that wasn't offered up because after turning down beer i don't know that i could say no again. beer tastes like shit, crack tastes good.
i'm almost finished the book, i fake finish it and head inside. i've seen now at least 12 different people who seem to be living/crashing in the bachelor. unfortunately one of them is incredibly hot and i'm having crazy fantasies about him. don't think i didn't notice i'm reading death in venice.
