so we made a date to meet in a park near the ranch at 7pm. being eager i was there at 6:45. what i'm assuming was a local homeless person came up and asked me for a cigeratte then sat down. showed me a fish he had caught that i smelled well before he showed me. talked god. ruben showed up right at 7pm. asked me what i wanted to do, i was just happy to be with him. he suggested we watch the sunset and took me to the rooftop of a hotel. lots of steps to get up there but it was quite a nice view of puerto vallarta and the bay. a little pool that he told me i could swim naked in and i was half tempted to. he mentioned seeing whales but he meant the other gentleman hanging around the pool.
the sun was actually blocked by clouds but still very nice. the waiter made me some delicious tacos, no queso por favor. a couple from seattle that knew ruben joined us. they had just returned from oaxca. all in all a very nice time. we left there and went to a little restaurant cause i was quite hungry after the tacos. had chicken mole, got first class treatment, everyone knows ruben. from there we went to la noche for martinis and coca. my travelling companion was at antropology and i convinced ruben to come with me, he wanted to wait for me at la noche but we went for a quick drink.
then to paco paco and the ranch. then to the grotto of love. not sure that i noticed all the crabs the night before but they seemed randy this night. click click click. i was trying to fall asleep there but couldn't, the crabs kept coming in. ruben laughed when i shook out my boots 'the crabs don't want your boots'.
yesterday he was working so i sat in his bar and chatted with the people around me between stealing kisses. one gentleman turned out to not be so much of a gentleman, trying to get me back to his place. ruben had joked with him that maybe i would go and he took this as serious i guess. when i said i was enamored with ruben he said 'good luck'. and ruben introducing me to everyone as his boyfriend. when we were alone he kept calling me his boy, though i am 5 years older then he.
tonight will be our last night. i leave early in the morning as well so i don't think it will be a long night. :(
